Rett and Ellie's trees

This weekend Rett helped me plant his new tree. We bought a tree for Rett and a tree for Ellie to plant at our new house. We picked out two japanese maples (the bloodgood variety) and planted one on the side of the house(this one is rett's) outside of my bedroom window, and one in the front of the house near the front door (this one is Ellie's). Hopefully they will both grow and thrive in their new location(this is also our wish for our kids).
Rett loved the idea of his very own tree and really did help me dig the hole and plant it, although his favorite part was watering it afterwards. Ellie was napping so we planted her's. It was such a busy weekend we only got a snapshot of Rett and his tree.
