The Children's Medical Center Holiday Parade

Saturday morning we bundled up and headed to downtown Dallas to the Children's Christmas Parade. Apparently, 20,000 other families did too. Once we found parking we sill had to walk about 4 city blocks to the parade route. Rett did great half walking/jogging/skipping holding my hand. He was super excited to get to see a real parade! Once we arrived at the parade route we were quickly dissappointed by the mass of people and lack of space to stand. Luckily our friends Wendy and Mike had already arrived and steaked out a great space on a corner with a raised sidewalk that we could stand on. We were still about 4 people deep...but with Rett on Troy's shoulders and Ellie in the backpack the kids had a great view!
My favorite float...the dancing gingerbread

Rett's favorite float...spiderman on top of the firetruck
